Located on the very North end of Ames on 5205 Grand Ave, Ada Hayden is by far the most scenic lake and park the city has to offer! Have a picnic on the dock, fish a little, walk your dog, grill out under the gazebo, kayak, ice fish, sled, frisbee, roller blade, propose to your lover (that's what Kyle and Sam did!😋)-do it all at this park! Most importantly- make some memories with your favorite people here!

Ada Hayden is just down the road.( 6 blocks or less) You can also drive to the other side of the lake.

Lots of good bird watching, a perfect little lake for paddle boarding, or ice fishing. a paved path all the way around is good for hikes or rollerblading etc.

Ada Hayden has a paved trail and several gravel trails around a lake that are great for walks or biking. Rent kayaks from local business Jax and have a relaxing paddle.
