Olbia is the gateway to the Costa Smeralda. Town is more or less active all year round unlike Porto Rotondo and Porto Cervo. The new promanade has just been finished and is great to walk the length of the Port, especially at sunset with the island of Tavolara in the background. Full of great restaurants and bars. The historical centre is small but very pretty. There is a very beautiful hidden church just of the hight street called Chiesa Paolo.

Olbia is filled with beautiful historic places and museums, boutiques, bars. 14 km from Cugnana verde, Olbia has a lot to offer its traveling visitors, with an extremely long and rich history. Corso Umberto I is one of the main shopping streets in Olbia. Every night from 7pm this street is closed off from traffic and becomes the perfect place for strolling among shops, restaurants and beautiful architecture. Olbia’s top sight is this medieval Pisan-Romanesque church, hewn out of Galluran granite. The Festa di San Simplicio, Olbia’s biggest festival, is celebrated for three days in mid-May.Right on Olbia’s waterfront you can find The National Archaeological Museum. The museum exhibits various objects dating back to the Romans, like ship fragments.
