JD's caters to a varied clientele. Retirees enjoy a quiet drink or a meal late afternoon to early evening, then later it becomes a meeting place for younger people. There is an outdoor area and inside it has views of the Mall. The food is consistently good and reasonably priced.

Classic bistro meals, plus cocktails and live TV sports, in a long-running, laid-back establishment. Older crowd but great, cheap food.
