The start of the climb to the mountain of Serra Grossa is at Calle Obispo Victorio Oliver at the end where you see a wall with graffiti. The highest point is 176 meters and has a beautiful panoramic view, with on one side Alicante harbor, the mountain of San Julian and the Castillo Santa Barbara. It is really worth to take the halfhour totally virgin walk to the top of the Sierra Grossa because of the amazing views over the Mediterranean sea, the castle and Alicante city.

Situada a apenas 1 km del emblemático Castillo de Santa Bárbara, la Serra Grossa es una pequeña formación montañosa que se sitúa entre la ciudad de Alicante y el frente marítimo. Excelente lugar para la práctica del senderismo y magnífico mirador desde el que asomarse a la Bahía de Alicante. En una alternativa sostenible y al alcance de cualquier persona.

Hoy en día es un parque forestal pegado a la ciudad ideal para correr, ir en bici o simplemente pasear. Ruta sencilla con impresionantes vistas de la ciudad y el Mar Mediterráneo donde se respira tranquilidad. Ha sido la principal cantera de la ciudad.
