❤❤❤This is one of my favorite hippy-esque garden parks.Lush gardens and quiet hiking paths, an Emu,goats and chickens, small meditative lake,a stone sauna, Drum Circles. Beautiful kind people. 12 min. walk from Airbnb
Gardens and an emu! Fun place to explore. Huge sandpit and a swing for the kids.
A group of Lake Claire neighbors bought the 1.5-acre green space in 1986 with the goal of creating a community, and the one they’ve formed embraces peace, love, composting, drum circles, and an emu named Big Lou. Cool, wacky and only about a mile away.
The land trust is tucked in the middle of a few communes and has the best vibes! There is an Emu on site, a monthly drum circle and several fun nooks to picnic and hang out.

“Named after the founder of the Coca-Cola Company and former Atlanta Mayor, Asa Griggs Candler, Candler Park is a destination where Atlanta residents escape the touristy crowds. The 55-acre park features a nine-hole golf course, a swimming pool, a football, soccer field, a basketball and tennis courts. The greenspace boasts trails that wind past outdoor art installations and is adjacent to Freedom Park.”
