This charming 19th-century inn, 2km south of Moone, is famed for its craic and live music, which have attracted celebrity visitors including Bono, Sandra Bullock and Clint Eastwood (not all at the same time!). It serves good pub grub (there's always a pot of leek and potato soup on the stove). Call ahead to find out whats going to be on - music sessions can be quite random!

This is such a special place. Moone High Cross is an ancient Celtic High Cross that has the most beautiful imagery carved into it. Definitely worth the detour to see this magical place. (and you get to say you've been to the moon!) Also it is free!
