I come from NYC, so I've had to learn to lower my expectations a bit when it comes to museums, but the Tucson Museum of Art offers some pretty cool shows and events. If you're here in the hotter times of the year, it's a good place to give yourself a break from the sun. Lunch or Dinner at Café a la C'art would be a great spot for a meal afterward.

The Tucson Museum of Art was founded 1924. It is Southern Arizona's premier presenter of fine art and art education programs. The Museum features permanent and traveling exhibitions of Modern and Contemporary, Native American, American West, Latin American, and Asian art. Hours: Wed - Sunday 10am - 5pm. Located downtown at 140 North Main Ave.

It is air conditioned! Seriously, it is always changing their exhibits, and it has very good exhibits.
