In the Upper Dells, the section of river above the dam in Wisconsin Dells, you’ll journey northward, cruising through an awesome path cut by ancient glaciers. You’ll pass under pine-crowned cliffs, navigate winding river narrows, and view iconic sandstone formations like Chimney Rock, Blackhawk’s Profile and Romance Cliff. But your adventure is just beginning! Two shore landings beckon, ports of call you’ll experience only on Dells Boat Tours®. Witches Gulch is a spectacular and spooky walk through a narrow canyon carved by wind and water and filled with fern glens, shadowy passages and hidden whirlpool chambers. At Stand Rock, you’ll walk to the base of this imposing pillar of sandstone, then watch as high above you, a trained dog makes the famous leap from cliff face to Stand Rock and back again

The Dells Boat tours are a great way to take in the natural scenery of the Dells. They offer a upper dells, lower dells, and jet boat tour. We recommend the upper dells tour since it has the best sights on both the water and the land. Although the lower dells has a lot to offer too. And for the Adrenaline junkies, the jet boat is always a blast!

Amazing views of the Upper and Lower Dells. Worth the time to sit back and relax and learn about the historic area near the cabin.

In the Lower Dells, the section of river below the dam in Wisconsin Dells, the river is wider and the tall sandstone cliffs seem to reach for the clouds. Our tour route boasts some of the Dells’ most famous rock formations, including the Baby Grand Piano, Hawk‘s Bill and the awe-inspiring Rocky Islands. These amazing sights are accompanied by equally amazing stories as Wisconsin Dells is home to a colorful history. Native American legends and tales of larger-than-life characters, all centered along the banks of the Wisconsin River — your guide will surely tell you all about them. From the rivermen who piloted giant lumber rafts through the pre-dam rapids, to the famous Chief Yellow Thunder of the Ho-Chunk people and the citizens of the Lost City of Newport, the combination of these stories and sights will fire your imagination and stir your soul!
