Very nice not-too-long hike up to the ruins. Even if you don't pay to go inside, the hike is beautiful. If you do elect to go inside you can explore the ruins and enjoy the spectacular view
This Moorish Castle built in the 8th century is in the romantic playground of Sintra. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and no more than 25 minutes by car.
