Pu’u O Hulu is a short hike with fast elevation gain. This is a popular hike among Waianae residents because of the sweeping views of the ocean and the Waianae mountain range. The trails offers no shade except for the bunkers at the very top, so bring plenty of water and protection from the sun. The hike is 1.6 miles roundtrip with 679 feet in elevation gain (30-45 minute to top)

Pu'u O Hulu is a short hike with fast elevation gain. Popular hike because of the magnificent ocean views at the top. Trail is 1.6 miles roundtrip with 679 feet in elevation gain (45 minutes to top at a moderate pace).

A great local hike that will allow you stunning views of Nanakuli and Ma'ili from the pillboxes at the top. It is a hot, dry hike that has steep inclines in spots so be sure to go prepared.
