This is the longest pleasure pier in the world, approximately a 35 minute walk from the flat, offering railway on the pier with cafes and ice cream at the end.

Southend boasts the Worlds Longest Pleasure Pier extending 1.34 miles into the Thames Estuary. It won Travellers Choice Award in 2021. It has its own little train service and there are some lovely food outlets at the end of the pier. It is also a Grade 2 listed building and was even visited by royalty in 2022.

You cannot visit Southend without a trip up to the end of the longest (pleasure) pier in the world!!
