Always lively and busy, with small gigs playing covers most of the time. Great selection of beers and lovely staff. The only lively place on winter week days. Try Gambetta (locally produced cordial) if you're not going for alcoholic drinks.

Restaurant à tapas
“The food here is so good. I had the roasted chicken leg, the cilantro-mint meatballs, the fried chorizo, some cheese and some empanadas. I'm a huge fan of tapas, but this ONE makes them worth it”

Museum
“Okay so this is the most famous museum in Arles. But it has reasons to be so, as it holds some of the most important Roman collections. Ten years ago, when Caesar's bust was found, and this is where it went. The collection of amphoras is amazing, but people come from all around the world to see the ship that is conserved in the museum.”

Museum
“Picasso loved Arles. His passion for bullfighting will make him become friends with photographer Lucien Clergue, and then with the young curator of the Réattu Museum, Jean-Maurice Rouquette. In 1957, Picasso was invited to exhibit about sixty drawings, which he donated to the museum in 1971, in addition to the Portrait of Lee Miller in Arles (1937), painted just after Guernica. Augmented with engravings, archives, photographs and posters, the whole is called The Picasso of Arles.”

“Great selection of artists for such a small city. World music, Hip Hop, Rock bands and sometimes stand-up comedians. Check the programme as it is only open a few days every month www.cargodenuit.com”
