Take a long leisurely walk or bike ride down to Mira Mar and check out the chapel on the beach. You can also catch a train to Mira Mar (from the Coimbroes or Devesas stations) and then it is about 15 minute walk to the chapel. There are some wonder restaurants along beach so make a day of it.

Peculiar 17th century chapel Senhor da Pedra, rising upon one of the rocks by the sea, in Miramar (Senhor da Pedra beach). According to the inscription of temple outside wall, there were pagan altars here before this Christian temple was created

A chapel right in the middle of the ocean waves. A must visit for photos as a beach day. You can bike there (or walk/run, for the most daring ;-)) always on the beach promenade. A wonderful way to spend a day.
