Kindred is the result of a chef-and-sommelier, husband-and-wife pair (Joe and Katy Kindred) who met in Chicago, spent years working in top-notch San Francisco restaurants, and then settled in his hometown to open a restaurant. The weekly menus — driven by the seasons — present a unique perspective on the contemporary cuisine of the new South, one that's influenced by the couple's travels abroad and fine dining experience.

Here for fine dining? This is the place to go. They have incredible food and staff. A perfect place for a special experience.

Constantly ranked as a national favorite. The milk bread is the standout, but everything is divine. Davidson is also the cutest town with great Saturday morning farmer's markets.
