If you’re feeling a little sluggish and you need your morning cup of coffee head over to Grinder House. Not only did they boast a wide selection of coffee but they are one of the only restaurants in town that has a gluten-free menu. They have a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options and don’t forget to order your chocolate chip cookie. They are the biggest and best chocolate chip cookies in town.

Its 30 minutes east in Crossville, but SO GOOD!! Coffee is wonderful, atmosphere is so 'HGTV' . Every inch is thoughtfully decorated. Very stylish, a feast for the eyes and taste buds. Check the website for live music. Great pannini's and cheesecake too! Very comfortable, and kinda romantic too. Local artists works are displayed. There is even a guitar you can play! Also in Crossville is a good shopping outlet and If you are a knitter or quilter, there are two excellent fabric and yarn shops. Crossville also is home to FDR's New Deal Homesteading project during the Great Depression. 252 of the most adorable "subsistance" homes made by the WPA to help folks thru employment. The laborers were paid $25 a month. One of those widows was in my Sunday school class before she passed away. She said the wives were sent $20, the worker got $5 a month and they were grateful for it!! You will know when you see one of the flagstone homes .
