Ortigia is the historical centre of the town of Siracusa. Definitely worth a visit.

Ortigia is a must-see, with its gorgeous cathedral, restaurants, piazzas, bars and little hidden alleys with the sea glinting at the end.

Ortigia is still the historical heart of Syracuse, and is joined by three bridges. It's known as the 'old town' - and it's an absolute treasure! It is brimming with two and a half thousand years of history and many notable buildings and ruins are available to investigate if you're interested. As well a some beautiful restaurants and shopping. Walk around the entire island to discover the swimming beaches.
