I grew up at this church. You must attend 12:00 noon mass on Sunday. No, you do not have to be a member or catholic or christian. They call it the "Mariachi" mass because of the Mariachi band that plays during the service. Go see a working mill on the property. It was built by the Spaniards in the 1700s and restored in the 1900s. (oh, South China restaurant is nearby off of S. Flores near S.W. Military Dr. they used to have really good egg rolls. just go behind Brookehill Funeral Home)

One of 5 historic missions in San Antonio. The most well perserved. First best stop for history buffs wanting to learn more about our historic city.

Really takes you back a few hundred years into what life might have been like back then. Nice grounds to walk around on and offer church services on the weekend.

The first buildings, made of brush, straw, and mud, were quickly replaced by large stone structures, including guest rooms, offices, a dining room, and a pantry.
