North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a…

The cemeteries for you to book a tour are located here in mid-city, but there are also a few great restaurants stuck in there too. Katie’s, Mandina’s and Venizia, just to name a few of my personal favorites. Are you starting to get an idea that I like to eat?

This is a great area to elbow with true locals and take advantage of the greenway and beer gardens.

Mid city is exactly that, in the middle of it all. I love to spend afternoons walking around the bayou St. John or popping into the museum and exploring city park. It's an easy bike ride downtown and we have great bars and restaurants here too. A lot less rowdy than the French Quarter, but still…

Low key neighborhood with lots to eat and drink. City Park has many outdoor options biking, kayaking, swan boats, mini golf and more. New Orleans Museum of Art is a great for an indoor museum day, but their free sculpture park is ideal with picturesque mossy oak trees along the water.

“Known for its colorful street murals, the Bywater neighborhood has a bohemian vibe, with plenty of outdoor cafes, boisterous dive bars and hip restaurants. Quirky boutiques selling handmade goods dot the area, while buzzy St. Roch Market offers southern gourmet specialities in a stylishly updated Victorian food hall. Trails, picnic spots and sweeping city views are the draw at riverside Crescent Park.”

“The Bywater & Marigny are side by side neighborhoods that were first settled in 1806. This eccentric area of New Orleans is famous for its colorful Creole cottages, Frenchman Street's music scene, the Marigny Opera House & Washington Square Park. You can take your pic from locally founded eateries, art galleries, and take a stroll through Crescent Park on the riverfront. Hip, vibrant and sassy, it's a photographers paradise. ”

“This place is awesome. Between Louisiana Ave and Washington Street on Magazine = why I bought this house in the first place. It's got great eats, cool bars and walkable! Parasols and Tracy's for poboys and pints. The Bulldog for beer and bar food, Balcony Bar sit upstairs. Keeps going! ”
