Set in an old, Icelandic-style wooden house from 1845, "Lækjarbrekka" always has some traditional food on its menu. Since the restaurant opened in 1981, the focal point has always been on the classical cuisine. The atmosphere is "fancy," but in an Icelandic, old-school sort of way.

“Fantastic surf and turf in a cosy environment My partner and I had a fantastic meal here sharing a variety of fish, shellfish and meats. We especially enjoyed the fillet of horse, pork loin and of course the lobster tails! Don't be put off by the tacky signage outside, it's really very good inside.”

“Great place for seafood. In Iceland you should eat fish and lamb. That's the best raw material the chiefs in Iceland can use and should excel at preparing. $$$”
