Parap Market, 5 mins from Salty Anchor in the car. Grab the cloth bags and fill them with the freshest Top End produce you'll ever taste. Go with an empty stomach because you will need room for one of Mary's Laksas. Just look for the longest line up.

Must visit on Saturday all year in Parap to grab a coffee, a papaya and lime juice, a laksa and fresh flowers, fruit and veg and to experience the Darwin lifestyle. Market also sells locally made, gifts, clothes, arts and crafts

Amazing market - every Saturday until 2pm. Mary's laksas are a stand-out and are a local favourite. Just be prepared to wait in line! (We recommend the chicken and pumpkin laksa!)

“Ever looked a croc in the eyes? Well now you can by the comfort of behind glass and in aircon. Sounds ideal! Feeling extra daring? Then why not try the cage of death and hop in the water with a crocodile. It’s safe and you’ll live to tell your friends the story. Croc handling and photos are also a feature at the cove.”

“Jimmy Shu, chef and owner of Hanuman, right in the centre of town, is wonderful for a quick meal or a long drawn out banquet. Just tell the staff and they will make it happen. Jimmy has been on many TV food shows, hosts cooking sessions for Darwin Food Festival, and is one of the caterers at Deckchair Cinema. ”
