Iconic outdoor memorial honoring the 16 million Americans who served during World War II.
The serene WWII Memorial is a tribute to all who served and died fighting in WWII. A beautiful testament to those who worked to protect our country, the memorial is located across the reflecting pool from the Lincoln Memorial.
An inspirational memorial with lots of fountains and marble to honor our World War II veterans.
Flanked by the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial, the beautiful World War II Memorial, complete with bronze sculptures and stone architecture, pays tribute to the Americans who served in the war, honors those who fell, and recognizes the victory of freedom over tyranny.
Bike or walk from Lincoln, vietnam memorial, white house, washington monument, many museums, capitol, back the other side on independence Avenue to Holocaust Museum and Jefferson.
Beautiful Memorial along mall, just across from the Washington Memorial. Best thing is to walk from Lincoln Memorial to WW2 Memorial to Washington Memorial. Parking can be found along Constitution Ave, or you can also try along area by Martin Luther King Jr Memorial.
The WWII Memorial is gorgeous at night when everything is lit up. I love to take an after-dinner walk from the Lincoln Memorial to the WWII Memorial, and then back home.

“I occasionally go here at night, sit on the steps, and just observe the reflection pool along with the Washington Monument in the night sky. I honestly think the experience is better at night. There’s usually college aged adults and small groups of tourists around even at 1am. ”
