The National Trust's Lydford Gorge, Devon, is the deepest gorge in the South West and has a spectacular 30m waterfall.
Lydford gorge is a great trail owned by the national trust. It starts up in the trees and then descends down to the fast noisy river and rocks. Not one for those who suffer with mobility problems.
It's stunning - The NT's most popular outdoor attraction the gorge is really worth a visit. 30 ft waterfall, Devil's Couldron etc
National Trust fantastic Gorge and walks in stunning Lydford, also see the Castle & go to the Castle Inn for a fantastic lunch
2 lovely tea rooms to indulge in a traditional Devon cream tea. Top it off with a walk through the gorge, the famous waterfall and witches cauldron all in the same walk. Dogs are welcome.

“We are so lucky to have Dartmoor and Exmoor, two of the most beautiful National Parks in the UK, just down the road. Dartmoor and Exmoor both have their own unique characters... Dartmoor is a wild, wide-open place filled with mystery. Exmoor is more craggy and filled with secret, hidden treasures such as Tarr Steps.”
