A Toronto favorite street to hangout and pass the time for an afternoon and/or evening. Restaurants, shops and lively vibe on a warm, sunny day. If you are here in summer, try to coordinate your stay with the famous Taste of the Danforth street festival.

This is Old Greektown. A little far to walk, you can easily catch the streetcar or bus going northeast to Broadview Station, then you can leisurely walk East along Danforth Avenue. (If you walk west, Danforth turns into Bloor Street.)

Festival
“Set on a strip of College Street, buzzy Little Italy's main draw is its classic pizzerias, trattorias and gelato shops, as well as its international restaurants and produce markets. Sleek martini bars, trendy pubs, and concerts at the famous Mod Club round out the area's nightlife, which mostly attracts students and hipsters. In summer, locals and visitors flock to outdoor patios lined with casual cafes.”

“Unique area in Toronto with tons of small shops, cafes and many more commercial venues on Queen St. Take the 5 min walk South and you'll end up on the famous Boardwalk that extends 3km from Ashbridges Bay all the way to the Water Works. There is much to explore in this area which is perfect for a day trip, as well as easy access to Public Transportation via the Bus/Subway, parking is a bit tougher to find (Tip: Parking behind the Beach Theatre is usually your best best, or side streets). Both Woodbine and Main Street Station have Bus routes that extend to Queen Street. Don't forget about the fireworks during Victoria Day and Canada Day!”
