Noah Purifoy is an African-American artist who left the south during the Great Migration and ended up in Los Angeles. He bought a property in Joshua Tree and began building sculptures from junk that he collected. It is open to the public and free to walk around - it is a local artist landmark.

“Our absolute favorite restaurant!! Reservations should be made in advance but sometimes there are a few walk-up seats available. Check out their instagram, sometimes they will post if they have availability. Shop at Teocali (a cute boutique store inside of a vintage trailer) next door while you wait!”

“Open from 7am-7pm everyday. A great place for breakfast or lunch or an afternoon snack. It’s also a good spot to get some work down with WiFi and quite a few outlets for charging. Located in Yucca Valley. ”

Friperie/Boutique de seconde main
“Located in Yucca Valley, this festive little shop is hard to miss with its eye-catching, bright murals, garlands of paper tassels and painted rocks festooning the front walk. I have found many vintage scores here over the years, but this time I was particularly enamored with the selection of vintage turquoise jewelry.”
