One of the best parks in the city, Loyola Park has access to the beach, grass lawns for picnics, basketball courts and a field-house.

One of the reasons Rogers Park is a gem. Many good beaches here, good playground (or two), pick-up basketball, tennis, quirky people watching, its great and easily accessible.

Walk out to the end of the pier to get the best skyline view in the neighborhood

Park is a nice place for a run; loop from the bathrooms to the lifeguard station and back around is a half mile. Beach is great and much quieter than its southern neighbors. Find a pickup soccer game.

Park/beach/lakefront trail. Great if you wanted to rent a divvy to bike the trail.
