“SWIMMING, BIKING, HIKING: SWIMMING DOCK DOWN THE ROAD AT LAKE FAIRLEE: 1/3 mile walk, or SWIM AT TREASURE ISLAND: We provide guests with a season’s pass to the Treasure Island town beach on Lake Fairlee -- five minutes away by car. You’ll find a pleasant atmosphere, a nice beach, a life guard, floats, canoe rentals, playground, changing rooms, bathrooms and picnic tables. Swimming is in designated areas meaning you can’t swim out to the middle of the lake. KAYAKS: we have two grey Old Town kayaks: a Loon and an Otter. They are padlocked down at the lake by the swimming dock. BICYCLES: There are two road bikes in good condition available in the garage. Try Middlebrook Road to the West Fairlee Center Church for a beautiful, relatively flat ride (eight miles roundtrip). They’re also perfect for riding to the lake, to Cross Road Farm stand, Lake Shore Drive and the airport, or for a trip to Bakers Store. HIKING TRAILS WITHIN 4 MILES: Seach Cross Rivendell Trail System or Union Village Dam, Thetford VT. CROSS ROAD FARMSTAND 1/3 Mile. Open June - mid October. Great locally grown produce, local organic cheese and meats, artisan bread, beautiful plants, maple syrup. ”
