Just around the corner, on Granby Street, you'll find Norfolk holds one of Virginia's must-see zoo's! Opened in 1900, houses too many animals and reptiles to name, even boasts it's own botanical garden within. Don't feel up to walking all 53 acres? Take a ride on their train, or rent a scooter…

“Lovely walks, beautiful Japanese garden area, butterfly garden, splash pad for kids in the warmer months. They do have a small restaurant on the grounds. Just a great place to spend a day. ”

Centre commercial
“MacArthur Center, located in historic downtown Norfolk, is Hampton Roads dominant shopping, dining and entertainment destination. The center features unique to the market premiere retailers like Nordstrom, Pottery Barn, LUSH and J.Crew along with favorites like Apple, Sephora and White House Black Market. Enjoy a meal at one of five sit down restaurants, grab a quick bite in the food court or see a movie in our 18-screen cinema. MacArthur Cetner is located directly off I-264 on Monticello Avenue.”

Nourriture
“This is a neat and really large venue. It's a brewery in a remodeled warehouse but they often host interesting events as well. There's a tasting room, a stage for live music, picnic tables, food trucks in the parking lot, and more. It's particularly nice in the warm weather. Check their website for the events schedule to see what they are up to during your visit. ”

History Museum
“USS Wisconsin (BB-64) is an Iowa-class battleship, the second ship of the United States Navy to be named in honor of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. She was built at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and launched on 7 December 1943 (the second anniversary of the Pearl Harbor raid), sponsored by the wife of Governor Walter Goodland of Wisconsin. A beautiful walk, about 15 minutes and under a mile, through historic Ghent.”
