“Sansevero Chapel is a Jewel of the World's Artistic Heritage. It holds the record for the most visited place in Naples in 2019, with 750,000 visitors. In this baroque chapel you'll find the incredible sculpture of 'Cristo Velato' (Veiled Christ) by Giuseppe Sanmartino, whose marble veil is so realistic that it's tempting to try to lift it and view Christ underneath. It's one of several artistic wonders that include Francesco Queirolo's sculpture 'Disinganno' (Disillusion), Antonio Corradini's 'Pudicizia' (Modesty) and marvellous frescoes by Francesco Maria Russo. Definitely worth a visit!”
