Tirau is only 17kms away, nice destination for a little bit of shopping. Great place for an Ice Cream at One Road Creamery. The Baker for great coffee pastries pies etc

Tirau is a small attractive township in a rural setting, with the Kaimai ranges as a backdrop. It has fabulous boutique shopping, many delicious cafes and an incredible ice cream store which is open during the summer months.

Quirky village shopping. Some great shops . Sweets, clothes, antiques, souvenirs, Toy museum. Worth a day out, or stop in for morning tea on way to Rotorua.
