A National Historic Landmark for Architecture, Wharton Esherick's hilltop studio/residence, with more than 200 of his works on exhibition, has been preserved much as it was when the artist lived and worked there, and is open to the public through guided tours for which reservations are required.

Wharton Esherick was an extraordinarily creative artist. This museum is the home/studio he built for himself on the top of nearby Valley Forge Mountain. He was a genius with wood; buildings, sculptures furniture and wood block prints. Do not pass up the opportunity to see this man's creations.

Amazing home of wood worker Wharton Esherick who made his home his masterpiece carving everying from furniture to stairs. Requires a reservation for the tour, but well worth a little planning to visit.
