Excellent pub. Good watering hole for a walk to Thorpeness and back to Salt Cellar Cottage!

It's a friendly pub with excellent food and an extensive garden (so good for children). A good destination after a walk up the beach from Aldeburgh.

“So many places to eat in Bury, it is hard to put them all down, as it does depend, on actually what you want to eat ! We are spoilt for choice here, and the best thing for me, is tht it is walking distance into town, about 15 minutes. or I could drop you off myself”

“Our Dinner & Film deal is valid from Mondays to Saturdays, evenings only. You can either watch the later matinee viewing (usually around 5pm) and then eat after, or eat before the evening film viewing (usually around 7.45/8pm). The restaurant opens at 6pm each evening, and is closed on Sunday evenings. It is £38 per person and includes a three course dinner and the cinema ticket. Bar
“Another stunning timber framed building, even more opulent inside. The Gallery Restaurant is an amazing Tudor delight, where we've often enjoyed afternoon teas, and wonderful evening meals. There is a also modern Brasserie which overlooks the gardens which is ideal for a relaxing lunch. The Airman's Bar is most enjoyable! It is so named as it was frequented by WWII servicemen from RAF Lavenham, the 487th Bombardment Group (8th US Army Air Force), as well as the Corps of Military Police, the Army, Royal Engineers and Royal Army Service Corps. There are many signatures preserved on the wall, and their mementos. This is a fascinating and nostalgic surviving piece of 1940's history. ”
