Live music venue which hosts alongside jazz, also book launches and theatre. The green courtyard is a perfect hideaway in hot summer days. Bistro inside, with good pizza, beer and local wine. Spacious historical house, good atmosphere.

Bar
“Quite a beautiful hidden courtyard on a busy dusty bleak Bucharest street. With an easy to be missed entrance and quite a labyrinthine way in, it will surprise you with its green backyard crammed between old houses. Not a very elaborate cuisine but very pleasant place for a drink during warm season and the occasional concert or plain-air movie.”

Establishment
“Construction began in 1952 and was completed in 1956. The building was named Casa Scînteii (Scînteia was the name of the Romanian Communist Party's official newspaper). It was designed in the pure (albeit comparatively small-scale) style of Soviet Socialist realism, resembling the main building of the Moscow State University, and was intended to house all of Bucharest's printing presses, the newsrooms and their staff.”
