World famous gardens. Just over an hour's drive away they are well worth a visit, particularly in May and in the autumn. Steep hills in the ravine garden. You can take dogs in on a lead.

Château
“There’s history everywhere you turn in Conwy. Young adventurers can follow the Family Trail Quest around mighty Conwy Castle, walk the ring of town walls and experience the Elizabethan period at the lavish townhouse of Plas Mawr. The National Trust has properties here too: medieval Aberconwy House, where six centuries of Conwy’s history are brought to life, and the 19th-century Suspension Bridge and Tollhouse.”

“Contemporary welsh art gallery that does very good coffee / cakes and a delicious lunch. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but definitely worth a visit if you are near Betws y Coes / Llanrwst. If you fall in love with a piece of art, ask about the Art Fund....”
