This is my favorite place in Puerto Vallarta. Located about 30 mins south and reachable by car, bus, taxi or uber, it is a must do if you love nature, plants and views. Note that you can't get Uber back to PV. You will need to take the bus or a taxi back. The friendly staff can assist you with…

This beautiful lush tropical botanical garden is a must see while in Puerto Vallarta. The garden, established in 2004, has matured over the years to become an award winning site. It encompasses over 70 acres, and includes a beautiful wild river.

Galerie d'art
“The proprietor, Claire Guarniere, is very friendly and helpful. My sister and I both purchased bronze sculptures here. The gallery has so many paintings and sculptures it is almost like going to a museum. There is a courtyard full of sculptures. The prices are much lower than you would encounter in the U.S.”

Marchand de vins et spiritueux
“A fantastic liquor store in a handy location on the quaint shopping street of Basilio Badillo. As the name implies, they do have a pretty good wine inventory but also hard to find imported scotches, whiskeys and other "top shelf" booze. ”

Port/Marina
“This is the place for a morning walk or evening stroll along Banderas Bay. The 100% pedestrian only walkway is lined with lots of shops, bars and restaurants, as well as the beach and Puerto Vallarta's famous outdoor sculpture gallery.”

Parc
“Old Town Farmers' Market has become one of the best weekend attractions in Puerto Vallarta, locals and expats enjoy purchasing and sampling fresh local produce. The Market is a producer-only market, which means all vendors must make, bake or grow the products they sell here, no Walmart or Soriana here. Phew! You'll find a great selection of organic vegetables, exotic fruits, chocolates, coffees, cheese, ice cream and local meats, handmade tortillas, cookies, pies and more. Local artisans sell their jewelry, soaps, paintings, pottery and more. You can also eat lunch and enjoy local foods, enjoy some "aguas frescas" or fresh pressed juices, baked goods, tamales, burritos and much more. Old Farmer's Market is wheelchair accessible, pet-friendly, you can park under Lazaro Cárdenas park. Live music adds the vibe at the market. Open every Saturday from the first Saturday of November to the last Saturday of April between 9:30 am and 2 pm. Now located at Lázaro Cárdenas Park.”

Indie Theater
“A breath of fresh air in the nightlife scene of Puerto Vallarta, Act II is a multigenre theater, cabaret, and sophisticated bar all in one. On the top floor of a little shopping center in Zona Romantica, it offers a great diversity of shows, both on the “Main Stage” and in the more intimate “Red Room,” which recalls the good cabaret shows of old. In the intermission, you can also enjoy a drink at the Encore Piano & Wine Bar. Altogether, it's an excellent option for a different kind of night out in Puerto Vallarta.”
