Amazing 1st century gallo-roman amphitheater, rediscovered in 1869 ! (Lutèce is Paris former name - Lutetia in Latin) No more wild animals nor gladiators though... A nice green walk in the park around!

“Rue Mouffetard is a (mostly) pedestrian street running from the Place de Contrescarpe to Les Gobelins. It has a permanent daily food market, some curio shops and many bars and restaurants catering to local, tourist and student crowds. It's always animated, with shopping in the morning and bars and restaurants at night.”

“Tapas dishes from the Southwest of France, with strong links to Spanish and Portuguese cuisine. Great value for money and simply to die for. Also a great ambiance, very lively and friendly (noisy!). Not for kids. Also, you generally need to book, they're always full.”

“If you want to see independent and hard-to-find movies, this is the place. The cinema itself is not so charming from outside, but they do try to show good, arty films!”

“Sitting in the shady courtyard of the Grand Mosque of Paris while sipping fresh mint tea is a lovely experience. Moroccan light food is available too. This is opposite the amazing Grande Galerie de l’Evolution (Natural History Museum)”
