Short hike up a paved path (1/2 mile round trip) to a 400 ft beautiful waterfall. Take the wooden steps down for a closer look.

Paved trail with short easy walk to see the Upper Falls, then you can take the stairs down for another breathtaking view and if you're up to it take the tail down to the bottom. Parking area and a small fee...I believe $2 for the day. We enjoy this hike a lot.

Watch the falls fall into the Jocassee Gorge, plus the pull off views on the way to the falls are great!

Park car and you will walk about 15 minutes. There is a small parking fee of $2.00 But well worth it.

Parc
“Although it's a little farther away (about 35 minutes), this park is one of our favorites. Just take 64 west and stay on it (that'll require a left turn at the first traffic light, and a second left once you're in Brevard, just follow the signs for 64 west) a little over 20 miles. Once you get to the Lake Toxaway/Sapphire area, turn left onto NC 281. Go about a mile and turn left onto Grassy Ridge Rd. The park has an awesome visitor center, and just one trail - about 3 miles round trip to Rainbow Falls, and another 1/2 mile each way to Turtleback Falls. The hike is moderate, enjoyable and with a nice swimming hole at the top, with the option to slide down Turtleback Falls (a 20-foot drop) for the daring. It's a hike our whole family enjoys, especially in the summer when there's often a gelato stand in the trailhead parking lot (useful for bribing children to finish the hike). ”
