The amazing home of Henry VIII, the River Thames — what a day out. Take the train from Sutton to Wimbledon and change for Hampton Court. Easy!
A must for all visitors. Historical Royal Palace of interest. Easily reached by train from my location. Holds famous Flower Show first week of July each year and many musical events too. Food festivals during the year.
Dependig on traffic this is around 45 minutes drive. If you love history particularly the Tudours this has got to be a must see place to go to. Make a day of it and take a picnic enjoy tge maze and wonderful gardens.
Easily reached within the hour by train from the local station. Here you can experience the private lives of King Henry VIII, his wives and children in the world of the Tudor court. This historic Royal Palace is also home of the annual RHS Flower Show and Concourse de Elegance Car Show.
This is a beautiful history-rich royal palace and the gardens and grounds are stunning all year round. I recommend doing a tour of the palace as well as the grounds and to spend the day there. I have been several times and always find something new to admire. For example, there is a huge ancient…
