Historical site. I haven't ventured all the way through it yet, once the little ones get bigger we will. Looks super cool from what I've heard.

Interesting place to visit and explore the history of the role of Richmond in the Civil War. The setting of the museum on the bank of the James River is delightful; it's a step away from a foot bridge that will take you across the river to a Civil War prisoner-of-war camp and "Rock City" where…

The entire area is wonderful. You have a park with a bridge across the James River. You can walk a suspension bridge to Belle Island, the Civil War prison island. From there you have a close up view of the rapids and Hollywood cemetery. Or you can visit the civil war museum. Rain or Shine there…

“Once upon a mid-night dreary ... Before you go, pick up a copy of Silverman's biography of Edgar Allan Poe ( or read the first few pages of the beside copy in our studio). You won't put it down and you won't miss the Poe Museum. In fair weather, don't miss the Poe Museum's weekly ":Unhappy Hour" on Thursdays for drinks in their ancient, eerily enchanting boxwood courtyard. The Poe museum collection is housed in the oldest residential property in Richmond, a charm of great gray stones, mortar, and slate. ”

“The views are beautiful as it is right on the reservoir. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is great! It is a little more expensive than the average restaurant but it is worth every penny. Most days it doesn't open until 4 pm and it is wise to make a reservation”
