[10min drive] Great food and drink at this stylish pub. You can walk here from the Bulter's Quarters - through Markeaton Park and across footpaths in the adjoining farmland (~1hr15 each way)

Seating inside and out. Lovely setting when sat out the back. Overlooks the fields. You can take your drink down to the lower garden and let the kids run about. They won’t serve food down there though, you have to be on the balcony. The food great and they do a brilliant Sunday roast. Weather permitting, you can walk across two fields to the side of the estate to get to Ashbourne road. It brings you out at The Farmhouse. The road is busy so be careful when crossing. Otherwise it’s a 10min drive away
