“The best old pub in the city. A great choice of amazing ales and the food is spot on. A place to go to watch live sports events. This pub is dog friendly (on the ground floor) so if you don't mind 4 legged friends saying hello, its a must for a visit. Takes about 40 minutes to walk to this place. Take a cab there (approx £5), and enjoy a nice evening stroll back along the river and back of the race course. Moderate prices on the food, but sometimes offer 2 for 1 on burgers mid week (phone ahead for their offers)”
