Summer residence of the Heidelberg Kurfürst. Beautyful garden, baroque castle. Good breakfast locations on the square before the castle.

Schwetzingen Palace is famous for the beauty and harmony of its gardens. Remarkably, the original design, in all its diversity, survives to this day.

Another side trip worth your time.....Marvelous castle with breathtaking castle park. Especially beautiful in spring with blooming cherry and apple trees.
