Cramond Island is a tidal island in the Firth of Forth reached at low tide by a causeway which extends for just over ¾ of a mile into the river from the village of Cramond. There is a noticeboard at the landward end of the causeway setting out the times when it may safely be crossed.

Walk across to Cramond Island from Cramond Beach during low tide. If the tide is low enough you can walk across the sea-bed to Island. Notes of interest, 2nd world war bunkers at the front and back of the island.
An old military post is situated on this island, which can be walked to at low tide. Make sure to check the tide tables before you walk across, it takes about 30 minutes to get there!
