Deception Pass State Park is the most visited park in Washington. If you don't have time to go all the way to the San Juan Islands, this is a great day trip (about 1.5 hour drive). You'll see wildlife and beautiful scenery, similar to San Juan Islands.

So worth seeing! This is a 45 min. drive format he cottage but there is a great hike to the North east corner of the bridge that takes you up to seen the islands and around to see old growth, Mt Baker

This bridge is one of the most photographed bridges in the country and really is a sight to behold! The view from underneath is really quite something!

You're going to want to see this. Masterful blending of human achievement and the raw power of nature; the bridge over troubled water. If you've got time and $10, get a pass and drive through the park down to the beach and frolic a bit. Lots of nature trails to explore. You can find free parking along the highway, but it just means you'll have to walk a bit further to the beach.
