In São Paulos famous japanese neighbourhood, liberdade. Subway it from home. Has a great Takoyaki (sort of a Japanese octopus dish).

Run by the charismatic Margarida Haraguchi and her all-female team, Izakaya Issa has quickly earned a reputation for its excellent traditional cuisine. Wise to arrive early or book in advance.

My favorite japonese restaurant, with no sushi or sashimi but with great Takoyaki, Okonomiyaki, saque, shochu, and everything D. Margarida says so.

One of the best Izakayas. It's a tiny place with a little door located at Japanese neighborhood of Liberdade. They have the best Sake list. Try the Takoyaki (little octopus cooked dough)
