A very quaint fishing community with great shops and cafes

Fishtown in Leland is a great place to grab lunch and visit shops. Here you can get a sense for how a Great Lakes commercial fishing wharf looked back in its heyday. You can charter a sport fishing excursion here, and you can get all the fishing tackle you need in this area.

Fishtown is an active working harbor with fishery and charming shops-- step back in time & pick up some smoked fish at Carlsons.

A historic fishing village, restored for shopping & food with active fishing industry and ferry to the Manitous. Beautiful sunsets over the harbor. Get a Northshore sandwich at The Village Cheese Shanty or pick-up some smoked local whitefish at Carlson's.

“Enjoy and afternoon walking the docks with an ice cream cone from the Tribune looking at all the boats. Stop by the schooner Perception an tell Captain Bryan I said hi. If there are fireworks that night on the beach, they are to die for. The town is picture perfect.”
