This beautiful cave is one of Alghero's most famous attractions. You can take a boat out to these caves or if you are fit can drive to the headland and walk down the 200 steps.

You can both use ferry boat to get there, or use the walk (composed by 664 steps!!) which faces onto the sea! Astonishing view, and unmissable experience!

“my favorite beach. You should also try the restaurant right on the beach called "Ristorante Mugoni". Get the "Spaghetti cozze e console". I love that plate with ocean-view”

“It looks like a Californian beach, with deep red sand and of course great waves, perfect to surf! Buy some beers in the kiosk and let yourself live one of the most beautiful sunset you've ever seen!”

“Lazzaretto beach is located north-west of Alghero, near the village of Fertilia and close to Spiaggia delle Bombarde with beautiful views of Alghero in the distance and Torre del Lazzaretto to the right – an ancient tower that was built with local limestone around 1580. The beach has a wide range of services and facilities. If you’re on holiday in the Alghero area, this beach shouldn’t be missed. Biking is an option, but get ready for some uphill and dirt roads. ”
