I would highly recommend checking out this little town, and the shop called "Spot" where you can rent these electric assisted bikes and also buy whatever food you want to bring with you. They are also very friendly and helpful with the bikes and in guiding you to the perfect trail to suit your desires. I tried this new kind of bicycle in Sonogno (Valle Verzasca)... it has an electric assist feature. I'm an avid cyclist and like to get a good work-out, and I could work as hard as I wanted to... or not work hard when I didn't want to! These would be great for families or groups of people with differering abilities because one person can have the setting on 1 or even 0 (no electric assistance)
