Walk to or drive (parking available on site) this reservoir offers plenty of opportunity for spending time in the fresh air - from walking around the reservoir or participating in many of the water sports on offer

A great flat walk. Plenty of parking. Close by to the lazy trout pub if you fancy a spot of food and drink.

10-15 minute drive from Butterton, great for a low level walk or run (4 miles). Great cafe, good view of the Roaches and water sports centre.

“Monsal Head is literally less than 10 mins by car from our cottage & it is an unbelievable view from the car park at the top overlooking the famous bridge. It reminded me the first time I saw it of a green 'Grand Canyon' not to be missed.”

“The trail passes just two miles north of Parwich; join the trail at Mininglow car park and head in either direction for stunning views. Makes for lovely cycling having no traffic - and flat! You can hire bikes at Middleton Top near Wirksworth or at Parsley Hay, where it joins the Tissington trail.”
