Conseils des habitants
Check out Malibu State Lagoon. Always a nice experience.. Adamson House Museum is right next door also.
This beach is known as "Third Point" and is part of Malibu's infamous Surfrider Beach. It is adjacent to the Malibu Colony, where many of Malibu's first houses were built for 1920's celebrities.

History Museum
“This beautiful beachfront park is a local gem of a secret. There are people who've lived here alll their lives that don't know about it. It's easy to get to and access. It's a great alternative to the sand. It offers picturesque views of the ocean and lagoon, beautifully manicured gardens, clean bathrooms, and plenty of quiet shade on a sunny day. For a very interesting docent-led tour of the historic home, check the website for times. It costs less than $10/person and it's really worth it to visit inside the home and learn a lot about local history. You can take a picnic inside and sit in any part of the gardens you like. On occasion parts of the property are closed to the public for weddings and private events.”
