The County Town with its ups and downs , is well worth a visit with lots of small independent shops and a couple of Bric-a -Brac/ antique markets, besides The Castle (great views) and many eateries and pubs.

Lewes has plenty to offer with a castle that you can visit, lots of restaurants and independent shops and some lovely walks along the river

We love the small county market town of Lewes...cultured, compact, castled, with its own brewery and great pus and eateries. you mustn't miss the divine Southover Grange Gardens, and if you are a history nut the Castle and Anne of Cleve's house
